Education
The Federal Way Symphony is committed to education in our community. Our Symphony In The Schools program allows us to visit local schools and perform for the students. Our annual Summer Music Camp helps local music students expand their musical skills by offering workshops taught by professional musicians. The Symphony is also proud to be one of the few professional orchestras in the Puget Sound region to offer free admission to students 18 and under.
2010 Summer Music Camp
What are YOU doing this summer? Join your fellow musicians and train with professionals at this year's Summer Music Camp! Have tons of fun! Become a better musician! Go back to school a step ahead! SMC is open to music students grades 5-12. The camp will run from July 13-17, 2010.
Summer Music Camp is a great way to have fun with music during the summer and to bridge the gap from the end of the school year until the beginning of music programs in the fall. You will get to learn new techniques, make new friends and improve your performace as an soloist as well as a group performer. Directed by Todd Zimberg with assistance from Lonnie Mardis, this is a top-notch experience right here at Federal Way High School!
This year, you can also sign up for a masterclass conducted by Maestro A. Brian Davenport!
For more information, including prices and registration, contact the Symphony Office at 253-529-9857.
