All music is not created equal: Baroque (Bach, Handel), early 19th century symphonic music (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven), middle and later 19th century Romantic symphonic music (Mendelssohn, Wagner, Brahms, Mahler), 20th century symphonic music (“modern”), chamber music, jazz and swing band, to name just a few of the great traditions.

Our intention with the Federal Way Symphony is to bring great music from all eras and traditions to our audience. We also have educational programs for young people: tots concerts and summer camp. Our community is diverse and we reach out with ‘something for everyone.’ Our guiding principle is to present great music in all its forms, and we are proud to contribute to the cultural life in Federal Way, helping make this a great community to live in.
